The last few days have been a bit tough financially. First my father asked for a July's rent when both John and I thought that the deal was we would start paying rent when pay-checks came in which was August, not when the jobs started mid July. So there's $500. We found out that our car's not going to pass the provincial insurance inspection until we get a block heater (at least), there's another $500 plus the cost of the inspection itself $50-100. We have to have the inspection done by the end of Sept, because that's when ICBC will no longer cover us. Then our entertainment system died on Friday. With our work schedules we really have no other time to ourselves except at night when we watch a movie, so going without this thing was out of the question. It was a wedding gift but it came with an extended warranty. Here's the catch, we have to spend $80 to ship it to Ottawa for repairs and we'll have it back in two weeks. So we bought a $40 special from walmart and we'll get the big one fixed in a few months. Wicket's aslo constipated again. We still haven't finished paying off her last $500 hairball that got stuck. We're not taking her this time unless it gets REALLY bad, because the last time the vet could do nothing for her. She ended up so stressed that she got worse. We're not putting her through that again.
Other then that, work is going really well. I went the whole day today without my splint, because I needed to get strengh back into my hand. It's is so weak I can't even open a pop. I go back into the "animal room" tomorrow. I'm really excited about that. We got new puppies in today. Their mom is a Sheltie/mini poodle X and their dad is a Mini American Eskimo/cocker spanial X, these puppies are so cute. It's hard to come home without an animal or two.
John suprised me this Sunday, too. He took me to an Alberta Ferret Rescue Society event. It was great, we got to see all sorts of ferrets and when they found out my family's history with ferrets they really wanted us to become foster parents. I almost peed myself when John said yes right away! He didn't even ask me - not that he needed to, he knew my answer already! So when things settle down here, and we're in our own apartment again, we're going to foster some rescued ferrets and maybe adopt one or two. o0O(I know what you're thinking Mom, and I'll see what I can do)
Anyway it's late and I haven't eaten yet.

Why would I want to turn down an animal? !) I don't think we're doing ok right now, but I know we will be in time.
