Hey there everybody. I know it's been a long time but until recently we haven't had the Internet. Now we have Shaw's "extreme high-speed" Internet. Well everything seems to be better. We're in our own home now. A cute little 2br apartment/duplex in a newly developed area just outside of St. Albert. There's no bus service so it can be a hassle getting home from work. John can drive me in the morning, but otherwise I'm on my own. John's been feeling better, too. He's started his anti-depressants and spoken to our new priest. I'm going in for surgery on my hand in a week and a half. That should be fun, they're taking bone from my hip and putting it in my hand. I'll be in a cast for 6 weeks, then a splint for another 6 weeks then physiotherapy for about 12 weeks after that. Yay! Things are also looking better with my father. He's been over here twice and visa versa. He even surprised everybody (including his own wife) by apologizing to John for everything he did while I was gone last month! The kitten who's name is Anakin (aka Darth Kitty with good reason) was taken to the vet yesterday. One problem I have with my job is that I can bring home anything I get exposed to at work, including ear mites. So we've been treating Anakin for mites for the last month with something I got from work. This medication's caused nothing but problems. We didn't know how bad things were until the vet said that our kitten's allergic to the medication. That allergy has caused the hair to fall off his ears (which is why we took him in) but also caused a major infection, and the mites got worse. Wicket hates the kitten so I put a collar with a bell on so she'd know where he was. The only thing that I would really change right now is...we have no furniture!
