My passionate rantings

Really Bad Day
Tuesday, August 16, 2005

Well i had my CT scan today. I've been wearing this splint on my hand for more than a week now, and with the job I do, it was pretty gross. To do the CT the nurse had to remove the splint. She took it and told me that I could get a new one at "outpatient" after the scan. Outpatient looked at me funny, because they don't have any and sent me on to the Orthopedic clinic. The clinic said that they don't have any either and if I needed a new one I could spend another four hours in emergency or I could buy one from the medical supply store across the street. I had no money and i was not going into emerg again, so I went back and picked up my old splint. But I had no way to put it back on, because none of these dept. nurses need tape. So I then headed back to work to tell them that I couldn't stay as I had no way to protect my still broken hand. Along the way back to work (right across the hwy from the hospital) I came across a beautiful white and grey kitty with her guts all over the hwy. I spent the next two hours on the city bus to get home (because that's how long it takes). When I get off the bus I'm two blocks from home and I witness a car accident! Nothing big really but lots of colourful words were coming out of both cars. One block away from home and I witness a drug deal! At this point I'm ready to cover my eyes and walk blindly home. I finally get here and I'm an ice cube that just walked into an ice box it's so cold here. So I get in a hot shower to thaw and clean my disgusting splint so I can put it back on my hand four hours after it was removed!
