My passionate rantings

No baby this month
Tuesday, November 02, 2004

My test came back negative this month. Oh well, one more month to add on to all the others hey? I guess I should be used to having my hopes dashed by now, but each month they rise anew. Even if this test came out positive, I'm not sure my job is very conducive to my conceiving. I had a stressful call where this man literally swore at me because I couldn't track his package with out his tracking number, which he refused to "go out into the cold" to get. Once he started to swear and call me stupid, I felt the first of my monthly cramps rip through my body. I can't wait till school starts!

On another note, John and I are starting to re-evaluate our current living situation with our border. Things have started to come up that are concerning. Things like in the last month about $600 of food had come into this house ($100 of which he chipped in) and it was gone less then a month later. John and I had almost non of it because there wasn't anything I could have. So I ended up eating out. I would have cereal for breakfast (the only thing at home that I could have) then I would go to Coopers for lunch then, (because I never packed a lunch, John wouldn't either so he'd also go to coopers) then we would head to Timmy's on the was home and get something small there. There were a few times where I bought some snacks (like yogurt dipped granola bars) for myself, and a day or two later they would be gone, and I only had one. So one day John and I took the last of our money (about $60 worth), bought food that I can have, labeled it and went to work. This pissed off our border, who then went through and labeled things he perceived as his (not all were: like my bottle of strawberry milk syrup that I had before he moved in) and proceeded to call us immature.

He's talked through movies that John and I have never seen, and ruined the ending for us. Movies like Van Helsing and Hellboy. Hellboy not as much but Van Helsing, that was really annoying.

And the latest issue is that our best friends gave us a nice bed. Not a top of the line...definetly used, but nice bed. We've allowed this young man to use the bed, as he didn't come with one and we had an extra - no problem? Problem, he's not the most hygienic (though he tells us how he showers over at his gf's ALL the time.) and he doesn't have sheets. We've given him a set, we have no idea where they went, but they're not on the bed. He said that he uses one but it slides off as he sleeps, and that we have no right to comment on his hygiene. When I told him to put the sheets on this bed I wasn't commenting on his hygiene. I was merely trying to protect the bed. Having been a biology major at one small point in my life, I know what's on the human body even after showering, and I know what crawls in my bed. It's much easier to wash sheets then it is to wash a mattress.

The thing that John and I are starting to realize is that even though his family is here, and even though we also conceder him family, maybe he should be with his father. I mean his Dad left his job to be closer to his son who decided to stay here. Anyway the three of us are going to sit down and talk this over, but maybe John and I'll talk to his Dad first.
