I got a second job at Tim Horton's yesterday. I only handed out two resumes on Thursday and was called for an interview at Timmy's on Friday for Saturday. They called me two hours later to ask if they could call my references (I thought that was why I gave them the list), fifteen minutes after that they called me back to ask when I could pick up my uniform and if I could start Monday morning. Originally they asked if I could do graveyard shifts, 11pm-7am. I told them I could but since I have a husband and I enjoy seeing him, I would prefer not. I still have my Veterinary Assistant job and I've been there for more then 2 months now. It's just not giving me enough hours to pay my rent and other bills. As those hours start to increase, I'll decrease my hours at Timmy's. I may also be able to get a scholarship from Timmy's so that I can get my Veterinary Assistant diploma and get a better higher paying position as an assistant.
We're going home for a Thanksgiving/family reunion. Only my sister and her's won't be there. Which is too bad, I miss them a lot. Both my cousins and their families will be there. Cat's gonna be going to Liberia to open a hospital there and to pick up her new daughter. I've always admired my cousin, but...wow! So Thanksgiving is going to give everyone a chance to say "goodbye, have fun and COME BACK ALIVE, so we too can meet your new daughter!"
